Energy cost just doubled in view of the substantial increase in the cost of fuel and we cannot continue to pay lips service to energy resourcefulness.
At least until our refineries work and public power becomes available, energy cost will keep sky rocketing and budgeting for it, will be
more difficult. 
Solar Hybrid system provides an alternative energy access that could be far cheaper than generally presumed.
750W which is 1hp or 0.75kva worth of solar hybrid power system will provide power support to 2nos 50w Led Tv,4nos 50w standing fans, 10nos 9W Led lamps.
The above load contents shall be designed to run for 18hours daily.
The power system will have a  minimum of 4 Nos. 250W Solar panels,  a 80A controller, 2nos 200AH ,battery,  1kva inverter and various accessories.
With a good maintenance plan, batteries shall be due for replacement from the third or fourth year of deployment. This is about N190,000.00 every 36months being less than N5300 monthly.
Total cost of the Solar Power System for 1KVA residential being N990,000.00
with a fixed cost of N800,000.00 and Consumable cost of N190,000.00 for batteries. The cost is 50% more for office deployment for effective charging and simultaneous supply. There is also allowance for 2 day autonomy at additional 50% for the office deployment.
The cost just went up by over 50% in view of the exchange rate as the dollar value has nor significantly changed in 5years.

For the same 750W load content and or petrol powered generator, a 750W genset shall consume 13.5litres of fuel in 18 hours and  at N145 per litres shall be N1957.50 daily  and in 300days a year, assuming public mains is for 60days a year, shall cost N587,250.00.
This cost of energy can be substantially reduced as seen earlier in a solar hybrid system, with a fixed cost of N500,000.00 and Consumable cost of N150,000.00 for batteries.
The above is the minimum size being promoted by HIWORKS  and the system is available to any size of load for domestic, commercial and industrial deployment as long as the funds, the  space and environmental requirements can be met.
A lot of banks are now disposed to supporting in the acquisition of this systems and so anyone interested can talk to their bank for the plan being considered for deployment.
Also available for consideration is the wind turbines and fossil fuel through human and animal waste.

A barber's shop , a tailor's shop, hairdressers, vulcanizers, Sport viewing centers,  mini cybercafe, food  canteen can run on a N250,000.00 -N350,000.00 solar hybrid system and increase revenue to unimaginable level. Funds can be accessed from banks that are willing to support in these regards.
Solar panels can be daily mounted on roof and removed every evening where they cannot be safely installed permanently.
